Shen Junwei drew inspiration from the concept of a nest in the woods, a forestry residence. This idea is reflected in the design's unique properties. The three buildings of the shopping center are delicately integrated, creating a variety of spaces that mimic the infinite appearances of nests. These spaces are scattered throughout the mall, merging with and enclosing around the stores, to generate a continuous, immersive retail experience.

The design's realization technology includes a variety of materials such as brick, stone, wood-aluminum board, and stainless steel. These materials contribute to the natural aesthetic of the design, further enhancing its harmonious symbiosis with nature.

Orient Yide City is located in Sanlin, Pudong, Shanghai. This 62,000 square meter shopping mall is a testament to the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. It offers a natural, environmentally friendly, and peaceful retreat for those seeking simplicity in urban life.

One of the major challenges faced by Shen Junwei was establishing a connection among the three individual buildings while maintaining the same level of consumer enthusiasm.
